When you are ready to bring your Lead to a Prospect Level, you have to initially find the lead.
If the Lead is already assigned to you, it should appear in your Sales Account Dashboard under the MY LEADS panel.
Once the Lead is pulled up, look to the Status field to the right of the screen. There is a drop down arrow, with menu options.
Find the 4-To promote option, and select it.The drop down will disappear with the new status being displayed.
The asterisk will appear in the tab to the left showing that we have made an update to the Lead. In order to keep the information we have updated, we must select Save.
You will see two new options will appear, “Promote Customer” and “Promote Customer/Contact”
You should always select the “Promote Customer/Contact” in order to pull the contact information you have listed under First Name and Last Name in the Lead. This individual will become a contact for your Prospect account once promoted.
When you promote a Lead, it is changed to a Customer, with a Code starting with PROS (for Prospect) You are unable to bring a Customer or Prospect back to a Lead status. This is only a ONE WAY type of direction. This pop-up verifies that you are ready to leave the Lead Status behind, and would like to make this Organization a Customer. Select “OK” if you are ready to do so.
Upon selecting OK, the page will refresh and all fields will Gray out. The customer will now appear on your Sales Account Dashboard under your My Accounts Panel.
