A Lead is only to be used when there is no previous information available on a customer, and we are looking to start business with them. Use the Global Search Function to determine if anything has already been created in Arcadium.
Using the Global Search Function in the upper right corner, enter the customer name, contact name, or phone number to see if information has already been created.
Find your Lead Chapter on the left side of your screen
Make sure the label at the top shows “Lead - [New]” to begin filling out the information
Fill out as much information as you have to make the future transitions to Prospect, and then Customer easier, and more efficient.
If you do not have the name of the Company, use the First and Last Name of the individual as a placeholder for Lead Organization like in the example below from Number 1 to Number 2.
You will see the Creation Date in Number 3 is automatically generated for the current date.
Number 4 will have an empty field of Lead Code and Owner, and automatically set with a Status of 1 - To enrich.
If you are the creator of this Lead, but not the individual that this is being assigned to, leave the Status as 1-To enrich.
If you are the individual creating and keeping this lead, change the status to 2-To qualify.
The Status needs to change from 1-To enrich and adjusted to 2- To qualify. This indicates you have acknowledged the assigned lead, and are moving forward with the customer.
You will need to set the Owner for who the Lead needs to be assigned to, whether it is yourself or another individual.
Using the three dots to the right of the field, a new dialog box will appear.
Either scrolling through, or using the search function in the top of the box, find or enter the name you are trying to assign to the lead.
You need to make sure the main contact you want listed on this Lead is highlighted in blue WITH the box checked.
Once you have that information entered, make sure to go through and enter as much information as you have about the individual and/or company including the following items.

Lead Organization
Source
City
State
Zip Code
Mobile
Vehicle of Interest (If applicable)
You need to select the Source of the Lead in order to help better understand where and how we are generating and finding more customers. You should also make sure you have a phone number and email address in case we send out any type of email blast, and to better allow for future communication.
The Notes section is where you want to document the main information you gathered when initially speaking to the customer.
Once you are done, you select “Save” highlighted in blue in the example above. We know this is a New Lead or New Information we are adding because there is the asterisk at the end of the tab in the upper left hand corner circled in blue.
Once you save the information, it will populate the Lead Code in the field highlighted in red below.
The Lead will now appear in the Sales Account Dashboard of the Owner of the Lead.
