These are directions and parameters for setting up thermal printers to print Elite Extra labels.
- Plug power cable into printer and outlet/power strip, and flip power switch on back of printer to On.
- Connect USB cable to printer and to the warehouse PC from which it will be used.
- Call IT Helpdesk at x3200 to install thermal printer driver, which can be found here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1nlz7ZblUbG3fiHjdqLvxhxzA8cFT_0GA?usp=sharing
- When loading labels, if the label holder doesn't fit in the core of the roll, lock the holders to the outside position and just set the roll in the printer.
- Log into Elite Extra Dashboard (https://jxenterprises-east.eliteextra.com/Logout.action or https://jxenterprises-central.eliteextra.com/Logout.action)
- Pull up some labels to test.
- In the browser, set the print parameters as follows: Portrait layout, set paper size to the label size you're using, minimum margins, uncheck all boxes at the bottom, and set the scale such that one label fits on one page (about 51% for 2x3" labels; about 71% for 3x4" labels)
- Print labels to verify they're coming out correctly.
Troubleshooting:
If the barcodes aren't being scanned correctly in the Elite Extra app, please make sure there is a good amount of light in the area. There is also an option in the app to scan with the flashlight on, indicated by a lightning bolt icon. It also may help to slowly move the camera around while scanning.
