Starting December 1, 2022, multi-factor authentication will be required to log in to Power BI.

When signing in to your Microsoft account, you will be prompted with the following notice.
Select Next
You will then be prompted to set up MFA.
Step 1: How should we contact you?
You can choose between Authentication phone, Office phone, and Mobile app.
We recommend using Authentication phone. If you are familiar with using a mobile app for MFA, feel free to use that if you wish.
Select United States (+1) and enter your phone number.
NOTE: You may use your RingCentral direct line to receive the MFA text messages.
Select your preferred contact method.
Select Next
Step 2: We've sent a text message to your phone at...
Enter the code that is messaged to you and select Verify
Step 3: Keep using your existing applications
For the time being, please ignore this step.
Select Done
Signing in Using MFA
The first time you sign in after setting up with MFA, you will be prompted to verify your identity.
Select your preferred contact method and you will be taken to the next step.
Enter the code from your text or call.
Select Don't ask again for 90 days (recommended, but not required)
Select Verify
Feel free to check Don't show this again and select Yes to stay signed in.
